The Committee agreed

To approve the revised draft of Memorandum No.

517-M, subject to certain small amendments of wording suggested by the Foreign Office representative, and that it should be left to the Committee of Imperial Defence to decide whether approval in principle to the Governor's proposals should be granted immediately or withheld until negotiations with Jagan and America had been completed.
